The bathrooms were a nightmare. the toilet seat was loose. Guests were surprisingly loud at night, and the staff seemed too busy to care, which is just unthinkable in Japan. I thought I’d receive some special treatment for my troubles, but when I asked for a room upgrade, I was ignored! almost wrote a good review, but I couldn't.

Air conditioning unit could use a good cleaning!!! The room setup is poorly designed with a shocking tripping hazard near the entrance!!! Limited power outlets and insufficient bedding were also an issue during my stay!!!

During our 2-night stay, we appreciated the convenience of having a Family Mart right across the street, which made grabbing snacks or supplies super easy. The nearby bus stops were fantastic for getting around to see attractions like Kodai-ji and Yasaka Shrine, both just a short walk away. The lounge area was a great spot for relaxing and working, and we really loved the simple but delicious breakfast options, especially the croissants that I still think about!

Our stay at the Standard Twin Room offered great access to nearby attractions, but the bathroom was quite cramped for tall guests.

Free wi-fi was great and loved the air conditioning. room felt cramped with luggage.

I had a delightful stay at En Hotel Kyoto. The staff were exceptionally polite and offered helpful recommendations for local restaurants, making my experience even more enjoyable. The hotel’s location is perfect, just a short walk to Gion and close to public transport.

Breakfast options were limited.

Great location with comfy lounge space

I loved having a cozy lounge area available where we could enjoy tea and coffee while waiting on our room. The laundry services were easy to use, which made it convenient for us after a day of exploring. However, I wish the room could have been cleaned more thoroughly during our stay.

Had a fantastic time with friends! We stayed in a spacious double room and loved the easy access to local attractions. A short walk takes you to Nishiki Market and Gion. Make sure to check out the lounge area for drinks and snacks. Seriously, the croissants were the best!

The only downside was the lack of diverse options at breakfast. it could get a bit repetitive. Though the food was decent, we ended up exploring nearby stores for a change.
